Mean Girls

I see conflict theory in Mean Girls thoughtout the whole movie.  There was always some sort of conflict between social groups, races, gender, sexual orientation, and age.  This conflict casused tension which needed to be balanced out in order for the conflict to lessen.  The macro level of sociology involved the whole school and in people's homes.  The Burn Book caused conflict throughout the whole school because some of it was lies and caused distrust among friends/groups.  It had many of the students and teachers question if it was true or made up.  Having the Burn Book being brought up and being discussed openly allowed small groups to deal with some of their conflict and tension.  This would be done at the micro level of social structure.
